Maelstrom lives at our friend Carey Bartram's farm where she has been raising dairy goats for some time now. When we met we became instant friends which is good because I will be purchasing more from her herd. Her animals are beautiful! As the crazy weather in Nebraska settles down, we will get updated pictures of this handsome guy but I got the pleasure of seeing him in real life ...

Widow resides at Tule Creek Farm in Nebraska, with our friend Carey Bartram. She is what I call a power milker. As a 4th freshener she is giving 13.7 pounds of milk at 53 DIM! Although she is smaller in stature she stands on very correct feet and has amazing spring of ribs. I was fortunate enough to see this doe in person and her "antics" I can tell you she passed on to her son Over ...

This guy has quite the story.

In 2022 I sought out a few farms looking for a new bucklings. I needed to bring in some new genetics so I reached out to a friend of mine (Katy Vincent - Prairie Ridge Dairy Goats) to ask for recommendations. Katy gave me several farms to look at and after researching, I landed on two. Tule Creek and M's Sagebrush. I reached out to both (not realizing that they were good friends and similar styles) and received communication from Tule Creek first.

Being the impulsive person I am (a GREAT trait in this scenario), I put down my deposit and started making arrangements. A few days later Marshall (M's Sagebrush) reached out to me after seeing a post I had that was offering Here Be Goats KV Maycee to go back to her original breeder. Kelley Hines (Here Be Goats) was having a tough year and Marshall offered to gift me a buckling in return for me gifting Maycee to Kelley.

If you know me, you KNOW that I love a good story stitched with love so I gladly accepted. I started making arrangements with him for pick up and he was also offering ANOTHER local friend of mine (South Fork LaManchas) as a birthday present one of his doelings. I reached out to Marilou and Richie of South Fork LaManchas to see if they wanted to split gas with me and the rest was history!

One weekend I made a trip to Winslow, Arizona to visit Marshall and Trudy and I loved my buckling so much I also asked if I could bring home a doe kids as well and the very next weekend I visited Hallam, NE and met Lee & Carey Bartram (who had no available doe kids when I asked them as well) to bring home the other amazing buckling. Both places I found new friends and great animals!

I am so fortunate to have these animals in my herd and to have gained two new friends!
